Lamb Skewers with Northumbrian Minced Lamb

As our minced lamb is on offer why not try out a new recipe this weekend?

Minced Northumbrian Lamb Skewers


  • 500g Northumbrian minced lamb
  • 3 tbsp curry paste (we used balti)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Small bunch coriander, chopped
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 150ml pot fat-free yogurt
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • Salad
  • 2 Indian-style breads, such as naan bread
  1. Heat oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7 or light your BBQ. In a medium bowl, combine the lamb, onion, curry paste and most of the coriander with some salt and pepper. Form into a sausage and thread onto kebab sticks (if using wooden soak overnight in water). Transfer to a baking tray or onto your BBQ.
  2. Cook for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Mix the yogurt, fresh mint and garlic.
  4. Warm breads following pack instructions and serve with leaves, remaining coriander, skewers and yogurt.
